NuVisc Pro is a sterile, highly viscous, cohesive viscoelastic solution designed primarily for use during cataract surgery. Formulated using high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate derived from biofermentation, its main function is to maintain space in the anterior chamber of the eye and protect the corneal endothelium during surgical manipulation.

  • Composition: 1.6% Sodium Hyaluronate (HA)
  • Molecular Weight: 1.5 million Daltons (MDa)
  • Dynamic Viscosity: 22,000 mPa·s
  • Osmolality: 285 to 335 mOsm/kg
  • pH: 6.8 to 7.6
  • Volume: 1.0 ml syringe (providing roughly 20% more volume than standard 0.85 ml variants)
  • Packaging: Ready-to-use glass syringe with a sterile, 45-degree angled 25G cannula
